The Banyan tree represents strength, self awareness and reflection through meditation. It is said that Buddha found enlightenment after sitting under a Banyan for 7 days. This is the hero piece of our Banyan collection, inspired by the textures of this mighty tree. This hand cut piece of Pounamu, Nephrite jade, from the South Island of Aotearoa, measuring 2 cm across the top, 4 cm across the botton and 5 cm in length, 2 cm in thickness is suspended from our artisanal textured sterling silver bale. The necklace has 32, 10mm round onyx beads knotted and finished with our Banyan textured sterling silver hook. Antique oxide to highlight the texture of this artisanal piece.  Finished length 58 cm.
